Jose Mourinho signs Manchester United deal after months of negotiations

Jose Mourinho has finally signed a contract to take over at Manchester United, according to reports in Portugal.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss has been waiting in the wings for months as Louis van Gaal fights for his job.

United have discussed terms with Mourinho’s representatives, although it is believed he has not been given a written offer.

But according to Jornal de Noticias, the Special One has agreed terms after much speculation.

The report goes on to claim that Mourinho has been paying close attention to United over the past few weeks as he prepares for his arrival.

Benfica midfielder Renato Sanches and Braga’s Rafa Silva — whose agent Jorge Mendes lists Mourinho among his clients — have been linked with moves to Old Trafford.

And veteran Paris Saint-Germain superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic is another who has been linked with United.
