Juliet Ibrahim Foundation organised a celebrity soccer match between Ghana and Nigerian female celebrities on May Day at the Lizzy Sports Complex to raise funds for Kidney patience. The event had most Ghanaian and Nigerian celebrities at the stadium to help the charity event.
Nana Ama Mcbrown, Jessica Opare Saforo, Moesha Boudoung, Pascaline Edwards, Victoria Michaels, Adina, DJ Kess, Juliet Ibrahim, Selly, Salma Mumin, Gloria Sarfo, Roselyn Ngissah and other female stars played for the Ghana team coached by Van Vicker. The match refereed by Toosweet Annan and Gbenro Ajibade had Bismark The Joke as its commentator.
To me, Nana Ama Mcbrown who called the name Messi, Jessica Opara Saforo of Citi FM, YFM’s DJ Kess who scored for Ghana, Miss Ghana 2015 contestant, Charlotte Derban did exceptionally well during the football match. Goalkeepers for both sides were professionals so nothing much needs to be said about how good they were.
After Toosweet Annan refereed during the first half, Nigerian’s Gbenro Ajibade who took over from him during the second half brought the football match to a halt after Nigerians scored their first goal. The charity match ended without a winner.
